I may have a problem. Or not.

I'm always jumping back and forth from one business to another. i've had my clothing business for over a decade now, and I still LOVE the sewing, designing, making.

Then there are the cookies. . . I added the cookie business when the economy hit the fan and we couldn't make ends meet. It has really helped. A year and a half later, things are looking up. And I LOVE making cookies, working with clients, being creative.

When reviewing my sales numbers for 2011, my gross sales are pretty much split right down the middle, cookies/clothes. So this is good right?

I have no idea! If I focused solely on the cookie biz, I would have to make some big changes to expand production (translate to investing big $ we don't have). And the thing is, I really enjoy doing both businesses.

I've always liked to do many different things, even when I was a kid; sewing, crocheting, playing the saxophone. Maybe it's just my nature and I shouldn't fight it. And really, it allows for a bit of flexibility.

When the cookie biz slows down (July and August), I can get busy in my studio and SEW! I get to pump up my inventory for the big fall shopping season. Of course there are those times when it's ALL busy (say Christmas time!), andI go a little crazy.

Hmmm. I'm not sure any of you have actually read my crazy rant here. Maybe you just looked at my pretty blouses. Either way, thanks for being here. I feel better; a little blogging therapy for me. And by the way all of these blouses and more are now in my Etsy shop. Sizes range from 1 (fits 6 to 18 months) to 8 (girls).
And now I must get busy making cookie dough.
