Those are the cookie highlights. August isn't a big cookie month, so I've been been working on the other half of my biz, which is pretty slow in the summer too. It's nice to be able to take it easier for a bit, build up the inventory, design some new goods.
It's been unseasonably hot here in So. Cal, which means attendance at the Carlsbad Art in the Village fair was way down. Too hot to shop; everyone must have gone to the beach! Things will get busy soon and I'll miss the lazy days of summer. Emmet's first day back to school is tomorrow. NOT looking forward to getting up early and dealing with homework issues, but it is good to start fresh. I've always loved going back to school, whether attending or teaching. Can't say Emmet feels the same. Ok. I'm through rambling. . . the heat is getting to me.
