After Googling things to do in Denver, I found Thread! My kind of store, handmade consignment.
The owner and very charming Ells Ann (El A, as she likes to be called), has curated a wonderful selection of items made by local Colorado artisans. My mom and I bought several items!
El A's husband, "an amazing crocheting maniac" according to her, and I would agree, has the crocheted pants that he made for himself (for their wedding!) on display in the shop. (photo from Thread's website)
What I wouldn't give to see my husband in a pair of crocheted pants! Perhaps I could arrange a commission. Andy? Helloooo?
After a delicious mojito and coal fired pizza at a local eatery, our adventures in Denver were over. While we were headed home, so was my box of vintage goodies that dad and I shopped for in Ft. Collins.
And there's so much more! Since I've been home I've been busy designing and making. I would love to spend all of my time creating, but since I'm trying to sell this stuff, it seems I spend half my time promoting, filling out craft show applications, shopping (o.k. that's fun), blah, blah, blah. But who's to complain, I get to do what I love, to make a living and be home with my family.
Speaking of home (and making a living, ahem) I'm having my annual clearance sale and celebration this weekend. Everything is on sale--30 to 50% off! If you're in the area, come on by, we'll be in the backyard, sipping sangria and eating cookies!
Time to get back to watching the Olympics!
