As I mentioned here, I spent most of spring break crafting. How was that different from any other week? Not so much. Except that I didn't have to get up at 6 in the morning to get the boy ready for school. It was bliss. So here is what I accomplished.
Blue baby booties.
Vintage hanky head scarves.
Modeled by the lovely Paloma.
Then there was this. . .
As mentioned here, I am surrounded, overwhelmed, overrun, by scraps. I love the look of scrap quilts, so I decided to take the squares I had left over from my fabric block project, cut a gazillion more, and get to piecing. I through in a few 4 patch squares too, for variety. I tried to be totally random. This is a good thing, until you're all done, and then notice that you have two identical fabrics, too close together. That bugs me. I may go back and unsew a couple blocks. Or not. I was also over ambitious and made it a little too big. If I were to make it to sell, I might do 8 blocks across instead of 10. Anywho, I have to decide how to finish it . . . tied, machine quilted, leave it hanging on my design wall. All plausible options. Must get back to the work at hand. I've been obsessing over skirt designs. More on that coming soon!
