It was a gorgeous summer day in San Pedro today. It may be incredibly expensive to live here, but every time I write that mortgage check, I realize I'm paying for the beautiful weather, and it's worth every penny! Some of the locals don't really appreciate it as much as someone who comes from Wyoming. They don't know the joy of digging your car out of a snow bank, before you can get on your way in the morning. Or the 80 mph winds that whip through the plains - like, all the time! Chicago is NOT the windy city, Cheyenne is. Did I mention the high altitude, or the bone dryness of the air? Despite all that, I did have some wonderful experiences growing up on the high plains. For one, I met Andy, whose family moved there about a year before mine did (around 6th grade). We all come from somewhere. Sometimes it helps you appreciate where you are.
