This is Josef. He is one of two brothers who own the Flying Pigeon bike shop in LA. They sell very cool bikes (I like this one), AND they host fun bike rides.

Every third Sunday, they have a "Get Sum Dim Sum Ride". This is my kind of exercise. . . final destination: food.

That's the L.A. skyline in the background. If you enjoy riding through natural beauty, this isn't the ride for you. I find urban biking to be really interesting, especially with a pack of other riders. After a leisurely ride from Highland Park to China town, we arrived at the Empress Pavilion.

If you haven't had dim sum, you must try it. And if you don't like pork, maybe you shouldn't.

Being the granddaughter of a pig farmer, I was feeling it. Yum.

It was awesome meeting, riding, and dining with the other bikers, from all over L.A. After thoroughly stuffing ourselves, for very little money, we headed back to the bike shop.

But not before stopping at Antigua Coffee House. Another very charming destination.

And then, an unplanned stop. Yes, that is my bike, with a flat tire. And since I am inept, Josef was kind and skilled enough to patch my tube. And off we went.

Maybe I didn't burn too many calories, since I ate my weight in pork buns, but it was super fun! If you're in the neighborhood, you should try it. They even have bikes to rent, if you don't have your own.
And now, back to work. I have a busy week ahead, getting ready for the Fiesta Hermosa, a big arts and crafts fair over Labor Day weekend. Summer's almost over! Can you believe it?
