This was a very fun cookie order. The mom to be was very specific about what she wanted; the colors, the designs etc.
The chandelier cookie was my first attempt at using a stencil with royal icing. It is very tricky and fortunately I made extra cookies for a few flub ups. It's a lot like silk screening but more tedious. When you get it right it's an amazing affect. This was the best one I did.
She let me do whatever I wanted (within the color scheme) for the baby carriages. They were actually the easiest of all the designs.
The silhouette on the left is old school Barbie, on the right is modern Barbie.
In between cookie orders, I got to teach a group of 25 girl scouts how to decorate cookies.
Usually I limit my classes to 10 or 12, but I made an exception this time.
Everything worked out well. The girls were awesome, and we all had a great time.
I have a big cookie week ahead, so I might be a little absent here. Probably not good that I took the whole weekend off! Moving on. . .
